Howard "Buddy" D. Goldman III
Howard “Buddy” D. Goldman, III is the co-founder and a Private Wealth Advisor for Wealthpoint Capital Partners. He started with Northwestern Mutual in July of 1985, continuing in the path of his father and grandfather working as a financial advisor who specializes in insurance, investments, and comprehensive business and estate planning. Buddy continued in his family’s footsteps by assuming the role of running the family practice of Goldman Associates that was founded in 1952 in association with Northwestern Mutual. Recently, Goldman Associates evolved into what is now known as Wealthpoint Capital Partners where he is joined by his son Casey and longtime friend Scott Butler.
Buddy was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, where he currently resides with his wife Abbey and German Shepherd, Cooper. They have two sons, Casey and Zachary; Casey is a partner and Private Wealth Advisor for Wealthpoint Capital Partners, while Zachary holds a Master’s in Computer Science from Tufts University and is currently working in Austin, Texas. In his free time, Buddy enjoys spending quality time with his family, traveling, fine dining, and playing golf with clients and friends.
Buddy is a graduate of Tufts University, where he holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. This engineering background enables him to analyze and understand the complexities of the business which attributes to his deep knowledge base. Additionally, he holds the Series 6, 7, 63, 65, and the Maryland Life and Health Insurance licenses. He also holds several industry designations which includes: CLU® (Chartered Life Underwriter), ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant), and AEP® (Accredited Estate Planner).
Buddy is a frequently sought-after speaker at industry meetings and consistently ranked in the top 100 in the country for the Forbes and SHOOK Research Top Financial Security Professionals. In 2024, he was honored as the #1 financial security professional in Maryland. He remains an active member and is a past president of the Baltimore Estate Planning Council. A perennial qualifier for the Million Dollar Round Table recognition, Buddy attained the exclusive recognition of “Top of the Table” for over seventeen years.
